Programmable
You can set your own infusion protocol by windows based iPRECIO™ Management Software. Using the menu driven software, header information along with infusion protocol details are entered and ultimately downloaded to the pump's flash memory.
Start and End time, Flow rate(1-30 μl/hr) and Infusion mode as Constant and Variable flow rate mode(10 different variable flow rate steps with duration) are user programmable. When using the dosage infusion option, iPRECIO™ software automatically calculates flow rate for infusion once concentration of solution and animal weight are entered.
Alternatively, use the flow rate option to set your own flow rates directly. Additionally, program a saline or buffer infusion protocol during the animal recovery period after implantation and then start drug administration.
These features will make iPRECIO™ pumps indispensable for many applications including pharmacokinetic and toxicology studies.

Instant Infusion
Start infusion of the drug instantly by pre-programmed protocol after activating the pump drive by the Activation Button.
Post Recovery (Delayed) Infusion
Start infusion of the drug that is exchanged the contents subcutaneously after the animal recovers from implantation surgery by pre-programmed protocol. The pump infuse saline or buffer during the post recovery period. Diagram

In case of using the Post Recovery Mode, user input information of flushing protocol ( start date & time of the administration, duration, flow rate ) and infusion protocol (start date & time ), dead volume in the circuit which is necessary for the automatic exchange solution in the reservoir.
* Dead Volume : The length of the tube pre-attached to the iPRECIO™ Micro Infusion Pump is 12cm. By inputting necessary information according to conditions of using only the pre-attached tube keeping its length or using this tube cutting into shorter length, attaching additional tube, the software automatically calculate the total dead volume. Also user input the drain rate of the flushing solution.
Flow Rate Mode
1. Constant Flow Rate - Configure one constant flow rate for infusion
Constant Flow Rate Mode Setting Window : User input the duration of infusion.
2. Variable Flow Rate : Configure up to 10 discrete infusion "steps" between 1μL/hr to 30μL/hr
Variable Flow Mode Setting Window :
*In case of setting by Dose, input the prediction animal body weights for each steps or input the rate of weight change and calculate by the software automatically.
*The date and time of the stop of infusion will be automatically calculated by the software.
User can also select each combination between the infusion mode and flow rate mode.
