A69-20 - Tone/White Noise Generator

A69-20 Tone/White Noise GeneratorThis unit is a self-contained tone and white noise source with an integral power amplifier to drive a speaker. It has a universal 5 to 30 Volt control input so that it may be operated by Habitest Lincs, LabLinc V modules, or Tru Scan Lincs. You may manually select noise or one of 30 tone frequencies to be presented either manually or by program control. It is also useful for general masking applications in room-sized areas. It is powered by a wall-mount supply (provided). Tone frequency is set by selecting one of 15 frequencies on the rotary selector switch. A range switch allows you to select either one or ten times the set frequency. The 16th position on the switch is the white noise selection.

Available frequencies range above human hearing to 30KHz for use with rodents. At the upper end of the available spectrum you must use a high quality tweeter to deliver the stimulus.

The unit may be manually operated momentarily by pressing the stimulus gating switch down, or indefinitely by placing it in the up position. When the switch is in the center position, the unit is gated on by a signal to the universal control input on the back of the case. The unit is powered by a wall-mount power supply which is supplied with it.

A12-33 - Programmable Audio Signal Generator

A12-33 Audio Signal GeneratorA tone/noise generator that can be both manually and programmatically controlled with Graphic State Notation. The fequency of the tone as well as the amplitude of both the white noise and tone can be programmed using a 0 to 2.5 volt signal source. The duration of the signal is controlled from a 5 to 30 Volt control input so that it may be operated by Habitest Lincs, LabLinc V modules, or Tru Scan Lincs.

This unit delivers any frequency between 50 Hz and 20 kHz, limited only by the response capabilities of your speaker. Users can configure and change practically any frequency-amplitude combination during an experiment. This makes the A12-33 an ideal auditory stimulus for paradigms such as: fear conditioning, passive or active avoidance, or simply as a precise auditory cueing device. The A12-33 is also unique in that it allows the user to present tone bursts as well as noise bursts through the same output.

Tone frequency and stimulus amplitudes can also be set manually from controls on the front panel of the unit. The unit is powered by a wall-mount power supply which is supplied with it.
